My name is Jill Zwiers. I live in San Diego, and I deliver donated aid to asylum-seekers waiting at the US border in Tijuana, Mexico. I have been volunteering since the first large caravan of 9,000 people arrived in November 2018.
I take new and used items that have been donated by a large network of Americans who want to send a message of welcome and solidarity to our Central American neighbors. Aid supplies are delivered to my house and I drive them over the border several times a week.
